What a Night!

Jace and I had quite the experience last night! This last summer we ate at the Bubbas in Jackson Hole. We were so impressed with the food and service. We walked in and they brought us our drinks and ordered our food within the first 5 minutes and then maybe 10-15 minutes later we had our food. We were really impressed not only about the serive but the food was great! So, last night we decided to try the Bubbas in Idaho Falls. We walked in and sat down and waited 15 minutes to get our drinks ordered and then another 10 minutes to order our food. Well Jace ordered the ribs with fries and mashed potatoes (I know lots of potatoes) and then I ordered the coutry fried steak with mashed potatoes and salad. The waitress walks away and about 5 minutes later she tells me they dont have country fried steak so I order the grilled chicken and she walks away again. Another 5 minutes passes and she come back to tell me that they dont have grilled chicken so with a little frustration I order chicken strips. At that point she feels bad and gives us free drinks because we ordered water at the first. We felt that, that was nice and just were anxious to get our food and go home. Then another 5 minutes go by and she comes back to us to tell us they dont have mashed potatoes. At this point we almost left but we had been there for nearly an hour and didnt want to go somewhere else and wait again. The waitress felt so bad by that point that she just gave us the meal for FREE! The food came and it was still good but definately not what we planned on eating but all in all it was FREE so we left feeling GOOD! Jace (the penny pincher) said that if he would of known that we would have to wait and hour but that it would be FREE he would of done it all over again! I am not so sure!

Here he comes!

I have been wanting to post this for a while but my busy life has made that hard. Jaxton started walking about a month ago! I have loved him walking because he is so much happier now that he can get around faster. He is definately full of it and into everything but I have loved watching his little personality unfold. He is such a content little guy who is so excited about life!!

"There is a God"

I heard this song a couple days ago and I love it! It's called "There is a God" by Lee Ann Womack. I am grateful for the knowledge of a God and the tender mercies He gives all of us.
Also I think the song is fitting for the month of November. So much to be thankful for!

Also this is one of my favorite pictures. I want to put in Jaxtons room someday! I hope Jaxton will always stay close to his Heavenly Father. As he grows I know that he will need Him more then anything in this crazy world. I hope that often he will sit down and have a conversation with his Father in Heaven.

Halloween 09

I was so excited to dress Jaxton up for Halloween this year! I made sure he had a good nap and ate alot so he would be a happy camper and that he was! So happy that when I went to draw his whiskers on he would not stop moving around. I should of thought about this during his nap when he was sound asleep. Oh well, he was still a cute little Tiger!

"Hot Dog"

Heres a video of Jaxton watching the "Hog Dog Song" from Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.
He loves it and he throws fits if you dont replay it over and over! This video was the 4 time he had watched it in a row so he wasn't as hyper as he normally gets. He usually has a huge grin on his face! We think it is so funny and cute! The funny thing about it is that I have tried other Disney show songs and he gets mad until I play this one again!

"Enjoy the Moment"

With alot of tears and contemplation I have decided to be done working the end of November. I have really loved my job the last few years. From facials, waxing, and pedicures to perms, colors and cuts I dont think there is anything I would rather do. I have loved meeting and getting to know my clients. It has made me learn alot about myself and has given me alot of confidence. I will really miss it! On the flip side of that I am anxious for the new journey a head of me. This next year will be full of new events; such as an internship in Denver, Jaces graduation in July, and a job or masters program in the fall. I named this post "Enjoy the Moment" because that is something that I keep trying to remember through all this! I often get to anxious for tomorrow and forget to enjoy today! I was once told that this part of my life would be the most simple and that often people miss this stage. So with that knowledge I will enjoy it!

Living in the moment means letting go of the past and not waiting for the future. It means living your life consciously, aware that each moment you breathe is a gift.

Haircut

The other night I cut both Jace and Jaxtons hair. This wasnt the first time I have cut jaxtons hair but this is the first time I took pictures. Well Jace took them and they were from his camera, that is why they are so blurry! I love Jaxtons fat little face with the cape on. He did really good just really curious!
